NSG 202 - Foundations of Transcultural & Population Healthcare

This course provides an overview of professional nursing from a transcultural perspective, and introduces Leininger’s Theory of Cultural Care Diversity & Universality. The importance of transcultural healthcare and the components of cultural competence will be identified. Course introduces concepts of population health in order to address the health and well being of individuals and groups. Course Codes: AC. Course open to non-majors with departmental approval.
