ADOL 452 - Curriculum Methodology for Secondary Schools: English

A critical approach to language arts pedagogy, including lesson- and unit-planning, featuring both theoretical and practical approaches to teaching language arts. Teaching candidates examine assumptions about the what, how, and why of the secondary English teaching profession. Course Codes: M. Prerequisites: EDIN*101, EDIN*102, EDIN*103, SPF*204, EDIN*205, EDIN*310. Minimum grade of “C” or higher is required in all education courses. 40 hours of fieldwork required in greater Rochester area secondary schools during daytime instruction. All placements are made by Program Director, Office of Clinical Experiences and Partnerships. Students provide their own transportation.
