BIO 237 - Animal Physiology


An in-depth study of the function of vertebrate organisms with some emphasis on select invertebrate systems. Includes the basic physiological mechanisms involved in the maintenance of both cellular and organ-system homeostasis in vertebrates. Laboratory (Bio 237Q) is a co-requisite and is a writing intensive (W) laboratory.

Adv Codes: FHR
Prereq: BIO 103, BIO 103L, BIO 104, BIO 104L, CHM 145, CHM 146L, CHM 147, CHM 148L, or equivalent completed with a grade of C- or better taken within the last 5 years.
Co-requisite: BIO 237Q
May be used to satisfy either the Organismal or Biology Elective requirement for Biology majors.
