ANT 320G - PII Peoples and Cultures of Africa


(Perspectives II Global course) An examination of the cultures of Africa from the prehistoric period to the present. Overview of the geography and history, and key socioeconomic and political structures of the continent, in the precolonial, colonial, and post-colonial periods. Emphasis on the historical, political, economic, and cultural ties between the peoples of Africa and the rest of the world.

Prerequisites & Notes
Prereqs: Any one of the following: ANT 101G, ANT 102, ECO 101, SOC 101, PSC 201 or PSC 312
Multicultural Studies Minor Course
