PTR 721 - Professional Issues III


In this final course of the series of professional exploration, students will discuss and debate practice issues that affect professionals across multiple disciplines. The study of group dynamics and team process will enhance the interaction in this course. Students will explore issues of applied ethics, the costs/benefits of pro bono service, and other issues related to social responsibility. They will continue to expand their understanding of psychosocial aspects of health, illness, and disability, including death and dying and specialized care relating to chronic and terminal illness. In all cases, the relationship between policy, quality of care, and other societal considerations will be addressed.

Prereqs: Successful completion of all prior required PT courses
