Pre-Law - Minor

The Pre Law minor is for students interested in pursuing careers in the law, either as lawyers or paralegal assistants. All majors are suitable for this pursuit, although those with a heavy emphasis on verbal and written comprehension and expression, critical thinking and a developed understanding of human institutions and values will best prepare students for the rigors of this career.

Required Courses


There are ten courses or a total of 30 credit hours required for the Pre-Law minor.  Of these, the following seven courses are required:

Additional Information


Pre-Law students are urged to join the Pre-Law Club, a student organization interested in issues regarding Law school admission, the legal culture in general, and politics and community service.
