The Bachelor of Science in International Business is part of the School of Management. This program combines a professional discipline with a solid foundation in the liberal arts and sciences. The curriculum is diverse and is rooted in the liberal arts tradition.
The goal of the international business major is to provide students with knowledge and skills needed to make meaningful contributions to organizations pursuing opportunities in the international marketplace.

Student Learning Outcomes
- Each student will analyze two countries using Hofstede Cultural Dimensions and develop a research paper based on defining and differentiating the two national cultures from the perspective of managing employees from both countries on a cross-cultural management team.
- Students will research and develop a short report focused on negotiating a business contract with a company from another nationality. Using Hofstede Cultural Dimensions the student will assess cultural values that impact the negotiations.
- The students will research rituals and taboos that enable a positive negotiation. Student teams will be assigned a specific multinational/global company. They will research the company based on specific questions to understand the organization, leadership, decision-making and motivation used by the company to drive growth.
