The Human Resource Management Program is part of the School of Management. This program offers a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management. This program combines the professional discipline with a solid foundation in the arts and sciences.
The overall goal of the Human Resource Management major is to provide students with the knowledge and skills needed to gain access to entry-level human resource management positions in various profit and not-for-profit organizations.
Successful completion of the Human Resource Management program will allow students to:
- Develop an entrepreneurial and global perspective and a thorough understanding of the functional areas of human resource management and business that is consistent with the mission of Nazareth College and the School of Management.
- Be contributors to the strategic missions of their organizations.
- Be prepared to enter the field as generalists or specialists.
- Have an understanding of human resource management as a strategic partner in organizations.
- Be prepared to be active and informed members of their professional community who have a keen awareness of the issues and trends driving the human resource management field.
- Have a strong sense of human values and ethics as they approach their profession in the spirit of Nazareth College and the School of Management.
