Advanced Certificate - Nurse Educator
The purpose of the Nurse Educator Advanced Certificate Program at Nazareth College is to provide for nurses, who already possess a Master’s Degree in Nursing, an opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge to teach in a variety of health care settings. Through practicum and course experiences, students can individualize their program of study.

Entry Requirements
- Completion of a baccalaureate and master’s nursing degree from an American Academy of Colleges of Nursing and/or a National League for Nursing accredited program.
- Official transcripts from all post-secondary institutions attended with B average in required undergraduate nursing courses, and an overall GPA of 3.0.
- Copy of current professional nursing license and registration in New York State or other jurisdiction.
- Minimum of one year’s experience working in nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Application and fee.
- An autobiographical statement, including your reasons for applying to the certificate program.
- Interview with the Director of the Program.
Application Deadlines
For Fall or Spring Term:
The application deadline is the first of every month.
