Education: Initial Certification for Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities

EDU 090 - Orientation to the Personal Electronic Portfolio Credits: 0 (Fall Only)
EDU 204 - History and Philosophy of Education Credits: 3
EDU 475 - Health Education, Child Abuse, and Violence Prevention Workshop Credits: 0

Required Courses

Additional courses required for NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities include the equivalent of at least two semesters college-level study of a language other than English. As well as:

CSD 335 - Methods of Speech-Language Evaluation Credits: 3
CSD 360 - Introduction to Methods of Speech- Language-Hearing Therapy Credits: 2
CSD 361 - Methods of Speech-Language-Hearing Therapy Credits: 2

Taken twice - Minimum grade of B required

To be eligible for initial certification as Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities, a minimum grade of C is required in the following courses:
