CAT 677 - Methods and Research This course covers the application of general research approaches and theories and then how they apply to creative arts therapy. A study of the various types of research designs, hypothesis formation, data collection, treatment and analysis of data. Students examine the role of computer information systems, conduct computer searches, and design a research project. ATR STUDENTS: Prerequisite - CAT*677 (minimum grade B to continue with CAT 530). First part of thesis, one semester in length. MTR STUDENTS: Prerequisites - CAT*677, MTR*600. Tutorial course, register during semester in which research begins. IP grade will remain in place until thesis/project is completed/defended, which must take place no longer than 2 semesters after all other coursework completed, including internship.
