MTH.Q 113 - Calculus I

(PEQ Math) How do mathematicians construct and communicate a convincing argument in Calculus? This course will explore these questions and introduce students to the fundamentals of calculus, its notation and its applications. Some of these concepts include: functions, limits, continuity, derivatives, rates of change, applications of derivatives, antiderivatives, integration, and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus. Course Codes: ABR. Prereq: 3 years Regents level mathematics (algebra, geometry, algebra 2/trigonometry), plus an additional high school or college course in Precalculus with a grade of C- or better.
