RES 217 - Accounting for Genocide: Religious Dilemmas and Ethical Questions


The impact of genocide upon issues of religion, spirituality, and ethics. Exploration of the origin and development of Genocide as a term. Examination of religion’s role in promoting and preventing Genocide. In-depth study of particular Genocides with attention to gender, race, and religious intolerance. Explored through survivor testimony, theological writing, fiction, and film. Prereqs: PEQ in Religious Studies.
