PSC 318G - PII Introduction to Islamic Political Philosophy

(Perspectives II Course) An introduction to the concept of justice as found in the works of major figures in the history of Islamic political philosophy. We include a review of the basics of Islam and the history of Islamic lands of the Middle East. We will study primary texts that mark major turning points in the development of Islamic political thought.
