ENGL.Q 110 - Boundaries of the Human (Perspectives Enduring Questions) This course explores enduring questions about the boundaries of the human in select literary works, investigating such questions as the following: What does it mean to be human? How is “uman distinct from inanimate, or from animal, or from alien forms, or from monster? What are the limits of human knowledge, sensation, imagination? As do other P(EQ) courses in Literature, this class develops student skills in close reading, literary analysis, and argumentation, while cultivating a lifetime practice of critical reading and literary understanding.
