CHM 221 - Fundamentals of Organic and Biochemistry An introduction of essential concepts in organic chemistry that includes stereochemistry, nomenclature, and aqueous organic chemical reactions. Introduces the fundamental molecules of biochemistry, including amino acids, nucleotides, carbohydrates, and lipids.
Prerequisites & Notes Course codes: NR. Prereq: CHM.Q*140 with a grade of C- or better. Selected allied health programs/majors have grading requirements that are more stringent that those noted here. Coreq: CHM*221L. Normal Offering Cycle: Spring
