NSG.F 101 - Introduction to Transcultural Health Care

(Enduring Questions - First Year Seminar) What is health? Students will examine the influence of culture on health and will identify the key components of cultural competence. Health disparities for cultural and ethnic groups will be examined along with strategies for promoting the health of the community using an evidence-based approach.

Prerequisites & Notes
Minimum of 3 hours fieldwork. This course counts as a W and G course. It does not satisfy a Perspectives I requirement. For Freshman only.
