CHN 305G - PII Road to Revolution: Modern Chinese Literature From the Late Qing to 1976 (Perspectives II Global course) This course introduces students to the differing literary genres and contending discourses in modern Chinese literature from the Late Qing Dynasty to the death of Mao in 1976, through reading representative Chinese fictional works and seeing flims. It also examines the intellectual and aesthetic logic and historical grammar underlying this transformation.
