SWK 304 - Human Behavior and the Social Environment I

One of two courses in the Human Behavior and the Social Environment sequence, which focuses on the critique and application of knowledge to understand person and environment. Introduces a multidimensional perspective on human behavior, focusing on the influences of biological, psychological, spiritual, and socio-cultural processes. Emphasizes systems theory and explores a range of additional human behavior theoretical perspectives and conceptual frameworks. Analyzes diversity of the human experience, the reciprocal nature of persons and the systems in which they live, and the ways social systems promote or deter individuals and communities in maintaining or achieving health and well-being.
