BIO 117 - PI Microbes & Society
(Perspectives I Course) PI Course for non-biology majors. General microbiology concepts, with emphasis on bacteria and viruses. Emphasis on contemporary issues; both beneficial and harmful aspects will be covered such as bioterrorism, emerging diseases like SARS and AIDS, bioremediation, and food microbiology.
