HIS 338G - PII Postcolonial Botswana


(Perspectives II course) This interdisciplinary course explores the multiple forces that shape contemporary life in Botswana, focusing specifically on the confrontation between the San’s traditional land rights and conservation, Bessie Head’s literary imagination and archive, and HIV/AIDS. The course includes a required three week trip to Botswana. Please contact instructor for details.
