CAT 548 - Alcoholic Family Systems & Counseling

Provides students with basic knowledge and

practice with family and alcoholism issues. The

course will examine family systems theory and how

it applies under the impact of alcoholism. The

curriculum is divided into 5 sections: family

structure, function, systems; impact of alcoholism

on family members; assessment of familial

problems; critical issues and strategies in

treatment; children of alcoholics and their

addicted children.
