MUS 212 - The History of Western Music: 1600-1900


A survey of the repertoire, styles, genres, performance practices, and cultural contexts of music from 1600 to the late phases on Romanticism. Coursework will consist of reading assignments, class discussion, listening assignments, small research projects and assignments, and one term paper.
