PTU 101 - Introduction to Physical Therapy

This course will introduce the student to the profession of physical therapy (PT) and the PT program at Nazareth. Students will understand the relationship between the undergraduate and graduate programs and the rigor of the accelerated BS/DPT program. In-class discussions will explore the professional behaviors of physical therapists and serve as a framework for expected behaviors in the classroom and the clinic. Opportunities to observe therapy sessions in the on-campus clinic will build an understanding of how the PT profession serves patients and clients to develop, improve, or maintain function, movement, and health.
