CYD 301 - Guidance and Engagement Techniques with Youth: Real Strategies


Guidance and Engagement Techniques introduces trauma-informed, positive youth development strategies for building effective youth-adult partnerships with youth ages 6-16. Students apply these hands-on approaches through service-learning with the City of Rochester’s Department of Recreation and Youth Services, working alongside R-Center staff and the (LOL) Legion of Leaders Youth Development Groups. The course is open to all students and required for CYD majors and minors. Includes 10 hours of service-learning. Course Code: ABR.
