ENGL 389 - International Graphic Narrative

This course examines graphic narratives (full-length works of fiction and non-fiction which combine text and image in the tradition of the comic) through the lenses of aesthetic, visual rhetoric, and comic theories. Case studies graphic novels, journalistic pieces, memoirs, comic strips, and histories by authors from around the world. Course codes: BHR. Prereq: PEQ in Literature. Cross-listed with COMM 389.
