CSD 579 - Assessment and Treatment of Cognitive Communication Disorders

Exploration of the science and practice of cognitive-communication habilitation and rehabilitation in a variety of settings. Topics include in-depth examination of evidence-based treatments, applied, and practical strategies in the assessment and rehabilitation of cognitive-communication deficits; neurobehavioral deficits and management strategies following brain injury; community re-entry issues; counseling; and more. Application of these topics to the rehabilitation of acquired brain injury and neurodegenerative diseases will be emphasized.
