NSG 301L - Fundamentals of Nursing Care and Practice Lab Students in this course are expected to use the nursing process as they demonstrate beginning competency in the application of skills such as assistance with daily living activities, comfort measures, positioning and transporting, asepsis and sterile technique, medication administration,and invasive therapies. Course codes: AFH. Prereq: NSG 201 or NSG*202, plus NSG 208, NSG 209, NSG 210, minimum grade C. Coreq: NSG 301. Additional course fee required. Students must present evidence of compliance with hospital requirements by the dates outlined in the student handbook. Students will begin the semester in the campus labs before clinical placements at Rochester area hospitals/agencies.
