Marketing - Major

The marketing program is part of the School of Business and Leadership. This program offers a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing. It combines the professional discipline with a distinctive emphasis on digital marketing strategy and tactics.

Completion of the marketing major provides students with the knowledge and skills to gain access to entry-level positions in general marketing, customer support, digital marketing, marketing communications, market research, and sales.

Note: See Minors for list of minors designed to complement School of Business and Leadership​ majors. Students who are Marketing majors are not eligible to add the Digital Marketing minor.  In addition, Marketing majors are not able to dual major in Business Management.

Student Learning Outcomes

Students pursuing the marketing major will:

  1. Assess and analyze business situations and identify the key issues to be addressed by marketing management.
  2. Formulate, and effectively communicate the strategic and tactical recommendations with the appropriate analysis and justification.
  3. Determine the information needs associated with marketing decision situations.
  4. Assess market conditions and the relevant factors that impact organizational and marketing program performance.

Core Curriculum Requirements


All Nazareth students complete Core Curriculum coursework as part of their degree requirements. The Core provides a foundation in the liberal arts and sciences while guiding students to pose and explore their own intellectual questions. This concentration is for students who are unable to focus on a track, but still prefer marketing as a major.
