Leadership and Change Management

The Master of Science in Leadership & Change Management equips students with the knowledge, skills and competencies needed to succeed as leaders in their organizations and their career.  Students develop a personal leadership portfolio, gain hands-on experience as a leadership coach, and complete a leadership or change management project with their own employer or another organization of their choice.  The focus throughout is on development of human relations skills, the so-called “soft”skills that are so challenging to learn and so essential for true leadership.  The MS-LCM is designed for working professionals with two or more years of experience beyond their undergraduate degree.

The Master of Science in Leadership & Change Management is an individually-paced program that can begin in the fall, spring or summer and be completed in as little as twenty months.

Entry Requirements  

  1. Completed Online Application
  2. Completion of the professional statement as described on the application
  3. Official transcripts from all colleges attended
    • Applicant must have completed, or will be completing, a baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution with a cumulative index of 3.0 and a “B” average in the major field by the start date of the desired term.
      • An applicant who does not meet these grade point average expectations must address them in his/her professional statement; please see the Professional Statement section of the admissions application for further information.
  4. Two letters of recommendation
  5. Interview with the program director
  6. Resume

Student Learning Outcomes

  • Discover how to use leadership strategies and techniques to effect change within a variety of leadership structures in order to enhance the organization’s ability to achieve its strategic objectives.
  • Diagnose challenges and recommend leadership strategies for improved individual, group or organizational performance.
  • Identify and apply leadership practices that contribute to the creation of an organizational culture and work environment that fosters employee motivation, morale and ethical business practices.
  • Understand and practice authenticity and integrity as a part of leadership.
  • Develop, communicate and critically assess a personal leadership philosophy in oral and written form.
