Community Youth Development - Minor

Required Courses

• CYD 201 - Youth Development in Community Settings Credits: 3
• CYD 401 - Trauma-Informed Youth Development: Historical and Cultural Impacts Credits: 3
• CYD 480 - Community-Based Youth Development Capstone Credits: 3

• CYD 480 is the senior experience, to be taken after completion of CYD 201 and Internship (CYD 483 or 484)

• 
  Internship Requirement

• CYD 483 - Community-Based Youth Development Internship Credits: 1.5 (two semesters required for a total of 3 credits)

• or

• CYD 484 - Community-Based Youth Development Internship Credits: 3

• 
  Note - students who are majoring in Social Work with a minor in Community Youth Development will meet the internship requirement through completion of SWK 384 and SWK 352, and therefore do not have to complete CYD 483 or CYD 484
