The Bachelor of Science degree provides students with a strong foundation in the liberal arts while affording them the ability to fulfill a range of studio requirements in dance, music, and theater performance. Students perform in a musical production at least once yearly. The program culminates with a senior seminar that includes a final recital or project.
The theatre arts department gives broad but thorough preparation in the most important areas of theater, while the College educates students in varieties of thinking and awareness of the world and its heritages.
The music theatre major, housed within the department of theatre arts and in collaboration with the department of music, incorporates the dance component. The department expects its majors to be committed to all of their courses. It further expects a commitment to the music theatre program and to the maintenance of a positive, cooperative attitude among students and their co-workers and teachers—particularly in production work.

Required Courses for Music Theatre - Major
Music Theatre students are required to take the following courses:
- 6 credits of Modern Foriegn Language
- 2 semesters of chorus:
Music Theatre Production Lab
Students must take 4 semesters of Music Theatre Production Lab Voice Requirement
Students must take 8 semesters of voice. Piano Requirement
Students must take 4 semesters of piano. Dance Requirement
Students must take 8 semesters of dance. Production Labs
In addition to the required courses listed above, student and advisor must select appropriate number and distribution of production labs. At least 3 labs must be taken in areas other than THL 11 (Music Theatre Production Lab) for a total of 7 experiences (4 of those THL 11) and 5 total credits. Examples of production labs:

- Scene

- Sound
- Prop
- Make-up
- Special Project
- Stage Management
