Biology is the scientific study of life. Biological science involves the formulation and testing of falsifiable
hypothesis. The Biology specialization is designed for those with a strong background in
biology and chemistry. Students with a desire to possess a more in-depth
knowledge in contemporary science may choose this specialization.

The following courses are
required for a Biology specialization:

In addition to the required courses listed above, Biology specialization
students select three upper-level biology courses (200 level or
higher),
of which two courses must be laboratory courses.
