Chairperson: Lindsay Korth, M.F.A. Professor: Korth, M.F.A. Associate Professor: Zhao, M.F.A; Assistant Professors: Ames, Ph.D. and Person, Ph.D.; Lighting Designer/Technical Director: LaJoie, M.F.A.

The theatre arts program is rooted firmly in the liberal arts tradition of the College. Its philosophy is that training in the theatre is a valuable preparation for life and for a variety of careers, as is any liberal art. In addition, the theatre program offers experiences in practical skills and program solving, working cooperatively and in concert with others, organization and management, planning and follow-through, and leadership.

Graduates of this program will be able to pursue immediate entry into the entertainment industry as freelance performers, intern in professional settings, or further their training in graduate school.
Specific jobs in professional theatre (equity union house, touring production) could include acting, directing, designing (costumes, props, lights, scenery, sound), stage manager, front of house positions (house manager, box office manager), dramaturg, or company manager.
