Department’s Philosophy
The Theatre Arts program is rooted firmly in the Liberal Arts tradition of the College. Its
philosophy is that training in the Theatre is a valuable preparation for life
and for a variety of careers as any Liberal Art. In addition, the Theatre Program offers
experiences in practical skills and program solving, working cooperatively and
in concert with others, in organization and management, planning and follow
through, as well as leadership.
