MUX 294 - Sophomore Composition Portfolio/Recital

Students pursuing the BM in Composition degree must pass a qualifying portfolio/recital of original compositions at the end of the sophomore year. The portfolio must include a piece for major ensemble -OR- a major multi-movement chamber or solo piece (at least 10-15 minutes in length). The portfolio is mandatory, the recital part is optional and encouraged when feasible. Course codes: A. Corequisite: MUP*1Q.
