PTR 627 - Musculoskeletal Management I


This course prepares the student to conduct a comprehensive physical examination, including the case history, medical screening, and assessment of impairments of the movement system. Common conditions encountered in orthopedic physical therapy practice are covered in depth. The patient client management and ICF models serve as an organizational framework for patient management in a direct access healthcare environment. The lecture and laboratory sections of the course are integrated to optimize student learning. Prerequisite: Successful completion of all prior required PT courses. Corequisite: PTR*627L.
