NSG 407 - Maternity and Women’s Health Care


This course focuses on the application of the Transcultural nursing process in family-centered childbirth, women’s health promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention. Students will study nursing care of women from menarche to menopause with a primary focus on childbearing. Basic concepts of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, childbirth and postpartum will be studied. Course Code: A. Prereq: NSG*305/305L. Coreq: NSG*407L.
