ENGL 341 - Representation in Media

Media representations of race, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, and ability may reflect society, but also have a hand in shaping it as well. Throughout the semester we will explore the historical changes in media portrayals, how people are portrayed in the media, and exercise our own critical skills in dissecting such images. Course Codes: BHR. Prerequisites: ENGL or Social Science PEQ Cross-listed with COMM*341.
