ADOL 410 - Principles of Teaching Learning and Assessment for Diverse Secondary Learners


A foundation study of the dimensions of teaching and learning in middle and high school classrooms. Topics include diversity of learners, learning theory, differentiated instructional planning, assessment, New York State Standards and best practices for the inclusive, constructivist classroom. Course codes: HM. Coreq: ADOL 030. Open only to Adolescence education students. 35-hours of fieldwork required in greater Rochester area secondary schools during daytime instruction. All placements are made by Field Experience Coordinator. Students provide their own transportation.
