SOC 323 - Water & Society This course explores the critical relationship between water and society. Topics covered include the central role water plays/has played in the location of communities, how they are organized, and how they operate; symbolism of water; and current problems concerning water - for example, water shortage, pollution, and privatization of water resources and distribution. Possible technological and social structural changes that could impact these issues are also considered. Course Codes: BR. Prereq: PEQ in Social Science.
