MUS 471 - Music and Magic in Western Culture


Will explore and apply the technical, musical, cultural, and historical tools available to discover meaning in music inspired by magical and/or esoteric trends in the West. This incorporates methodologies located within the discipline of Esoteric Studies. The course will rediscover and reconstitute the esoteric themes that lie behind various musical compositions drawn from the repertoire.
