PSY 338 - Memory and Cognition


Course examines cognitive processes, often called higher mental processes. As a discipline, the field of cognitive psychology is concerned with how humans acquire, store, retrieve and use knowledge. Topics include perception, attention, memory, categorization of thinking, problem solving, and decision making. Research and theory in cognitive psychology is represented with demonstrations of how knowledge gained from research has been applied to solve problems and improve everyday cognitive functioning.
