ENGL.Q 130 - Hybridity

(Perspectives Enduring Questions) This course explores enduring questions about the concept of hybridity in select literary works, investigating such questions as the following: How and when are literary forms hybrid? What does this mean for how we understand them? How and when are identities hybrid? What does it mean to claim, celebrate or reject a hybrid identity? As do other P(EQ) courses in Literature, this class develops student skills in close reading, literary analysis, and argumentation, while cultivating a lifetime practice of critical reading and literary understanding.
