PSY.Q 102 - Introduction to Psychology: Social Science


(Perspectives Enduring Questions) What influences how we experience the world around us? This course explores this question by introducing students to the field of psychology through the lens of a social scientist. It covers “molar” topics such as human development and social interaction, personality, and psychological disorders and therapies. Students will learn about the value and limitations of correlational methods, experimental design, and observational research design. Classical studies within psychology will be read and students will gain knowledge around differing theoretical perspectives.
