SWK 304 - Human Behavior and the Social Environment I


First of two courses in the Human Behavior and Social Environment sequence. Facilitates a multidimensional perspective on human behavior, focusing on the influences of the biological, psychological, spiritual, social, and cultural processes. Emphasizes diversity of the human experience and the reciprocal nature of interactions among persons and the systems in which they live. Develops knowledge of systems theory and the person-in-environment concept, including the ability to apply a range of human behavior theoretical perspectives and conceptual frameworks.
