RES 260G - PII Studies in the Qur’an


(Perspectives II Global course) An exploration of the sacred text of Islam. Attention is given to the historical, literary, social, philosophical and theological issues involved in the interpretation of sacred texts. Themes analyzed include: nature, anthropology, gender, prophecy, eschatology, theodicy, religion and society, and religious diversity.
