PSY 312 - Memory and Cognition Course examines cognitive processes, often called “higher mental processes”. As a discipline, the field of cognitive psychology is concerned with how humans acquire, store, retrieve and use knowledge. Topics include perception, memory, attention, categorization of thinking, problem solving, and decision making. Course introduces student to research and theory in cognitive psychology and demonstrates how knowledge gained from research has been applied to solve problems, and improve the quality of life.
