GTE 550 - Introduction to Gifted and Talented Education

This course will focus on the domains of giftedness, theories of talents/intelligences, the nature and needs of students with gifts and talents, and introduction to systems/methods of identification. Includes study of the history and current status of gifted education with attention to cultural context and stereotypes. 15 hours fieldwork required.
