MTR 540 - Cultural Humility in Music Therapy Practice


With live music experiences throughout the semester, this course helps students explore the role of diverse genres of music as well as music in non-Western cultures. This course will examine the importance of cultural considerations within music therapy practice through experientials, group discussions, and didactic learning. Students will have the opportunity to critically investigate the ways in which cultural humility and reflexivity can be implemented within clinical contexts.
